We started April by reading 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' story by Eric Carle, learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and we painted lots of caterpillars. Then we followed on by getting some real live caterpillars. We enjoyed a daily watch observing the caterpillars as they got very fat and made the transition into larvae.
Inspired by the American artist Justina Blakeney who has her own range of interior design products, we decorated some tiles and took them home to be used as coasters with a nice cup of tea.
As usual we have also been busy working hard, doing puzzles and enjoying lots of water play.
