We began 2024 by getting back to lots of work and checking on how much our daffodils had grown since December. The children recently took home their daffodils to give to their mother on Mother's Day, but not before we painted some beautiful daffodils.
We were also busy painting for Valentine's Day. We made clay candle holders and mosaic hearts.
In our busy kitchen we enjoyed making pancakes, fruit salad, banana smoothies and scrambled eggs.
In our group work sessions we were busy playing shops, using coins and sorting 3D and 2D shapes.
We were learning about Spain with Room 1 and we enjoyed sharing what we learned with the rest of the school at assembly. We entertained the school by playing castanets to flamenco music.
We didn't forget to stay active and we joined the school taking part in the 'Run around Europe' challenge. Finally, we joined Room 1 for weekly swimming lessons in Drogheda.
